Whereas By-law No. 2016-20, as amended, provides Council the right to grant exemptions to the provisions of the by-law; And whereas Council has received a request from the Cornwall Motor Speedway for exemption to the time prohibitions; Now therefore be it resolved that Council authorize an exemption to the 11 PM time prohibition for Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11 PM to 1 AM for music only; And further instruct the Municipal Law Enforcement Officer to ensure the Speedway adheres to the agreed extension of time.

Whereas Council did, on February 16, 2022, adopt a Health and Safety Policy Manual comprised of 18 Health and Safety policies based on current best practice and legislative requirements; And whereas it is deemed necessary to amend the Health and Safety Manual to provide for the addition of the Long Sault Arena Ammonia Exposure Control Plan; Now therefore be it resolved that Council acknowledges and accepts the Long Sault Arena Ammonia Exposure Control Plan, dated August 2024 and attached to the Action Request dated August 14, 2024, and further, authorizes the Director of Parks and Recreation to make minor revisions from time to time.
